Good Question

It is so easy to feel like there is no option, hope or possibility left when facing a struggle that seems too big to cope with. Left to our own devices we can fall into a downward spiral trying to figure it out alone.

I believe it's so important to pursue change and get help when things are tough. I don’t believe we are meant to do this by ourselves, it's too hard. Yet sometimes it can be difficult to know if Counselling is what you need. It can be really daunting if you have never spoken to anyone about the struggles you are facing.

At the very least Counselling can offer you a new perspective on issues that you may have been struggling with for a long time and that effect the way you desire to live. Sometimes we form habits, beliefs and expectations that hinder us and we get stuck into patterns that are unhelpful and destructive to ourselves and relationships. With new insight and awareness it can become easier to make sense of these unhelpful emotions and patterns and then we have the chance to change them. Most people feel huge relief when they start the first conversation, this is my hope for you too!

"I spoke to an old friend recently who I haven't seen in years, she commented on my confidence, peace and how comfortable I seemed in my own skin. "I have had some amazing counselling", was the reply that rolled off my tongue. I have found a freedom and confidence I dreamed of and I have been able to walk a significant journey towards wholeness. When I began the journey of counselling, Kayla put me at ease. I felt safe." - Amy
